Willie Hammock
Willie is one of Bluebird Farms main feeders. When he’s not busy feeding cattle their special diet supplemented with hay, mineral and protein, Willie can be found herding and transporting them to various
locations depending on their stage of growth. We rotate our herd subject to the time of year. Willie keeps an eye on the health and condition of our animals, too.
He helps inspect, maintain and fuel our tractors and other equipment so that when it’s time to bale hay, harvest other forage for use as feed, bushhog fields or mow everything’s functioning properly.

Ted Rice grew up on Bluebird Farms working with his father and siblings. He returned as an adult to become a part of our crew working with our manager Harold Martin. Ted is responsible for weekly feeding and care of assigned herds, assisting with the periodic administration of veterinary care, the scheduled maintenance of equipment and ensuring land maintenance for all BFB properties. He’s dedicated to meeting the needs of the operation as a whole. He and his wife Autumn have two children.
